However, those plans go awry when your mother convinces you to stay with your peculiar Uncle Gary in the quaint town of Everly Springs.

Now, you find yourself working at his video store alongside Kit, exchanging ghost stories. While initially feeling that this summer is a lost cause, your perspective shifts when Uncle Gary begins recounting the local legends.

Within 48 hours, you find yourself face to face with Prince Gil, a swamp man, and unexpectedly encounter Erebus, the local Owlman. Will your investigative efforts lead you closer to revealing the truth behind their existence, or will you end up captivated by the allure of these legends?

Characters

• Kit - The Paranormal Fan: Despite his punk attire, Kit is a kind-hearted individual with an air of mystery. A native of Everly Springs, he originally aspired to study screenwriting in college but now finds himself working at the video store alongside you. Kit skeptically dismisses the town's legends and creatures but offers logical explanations—at least for now.
• Prince Gil - The Swamp Man: Once a cheerful and affable figure, Prince Gil is now a standoffish and conceited resident of the local springs. Years of being the town's main attraction have soured his view of humans. Threatened by a development project encroaching on his underwater realm, he may reluctantly seek your assistance.
• Erebus - The Owlman: An enigmatic and intelligent creature known as the Owlman possessing psychic abilities and incredible speed. Unintentionally revealing himself to teenagers in the 1950s, Erebus swiftly became a part of Everly Springs' folklore. Wary of those seeking to exploit him for scientific purposes, Erebus longs for companionship and understanding amid his secluded forest abode.
• Alexander - The Ghost: A reticent yet charismatic ghost haunting your uncle's video store. Alexander, the son of the town's founder, tragically passed away at a young age of 18. Disenchanted with Everly Springs' evolution, he mostly keeps to himself but becomes intrigued by your presence. With the arrival of a new developer, Alexander sees an opportunity to exert influence from beyond and shape the town's fate as he desires.
